House Ways Committee convened hearings CPS failure to protect
The first hearing was held Thursday, November 6.
Second hearing will treat more of budget allocations to the states in the case of foster and adoptive children and how they are neglected under state CPS care, custody and control. In light of the horrendous NJ situation where, although visited by cw's no less than 38 times (if the RECORDS WERE NOT FALSIFIED) AND THEY OFTEN ARE, NO less than 5 cw's and supervisors completely MISSED THE BOYS STARVING in front of their faces. Holocaust level thinness--while cw kneels down and prays for power, and electricity to be restored to the home of the feckless foster parents. Subject: Links to W& M testimony today by DYFS official From: (Fern5827) Date: 11/6/2003 11:00 AM Eastern Standard Time Message-id: http://waysandmeans.house.gov/hearin...de=view&id=932 She acknowledges: Poor decision making Lack of accountability Poor training etc., etc. Other testimony is linked there, too. No less than 5 other DYFS employees had visited home and apparently noticed NO PROBLEMS. Although NJ wants to check on pet's vaccination status, no effort was made to ensure that children had proper medical check-ups. None of the boys had been to a physician in over 5 years. The caps on number of children present in household will be reviewed. Other participants before the W& M committee testimony is linked. The pastor of family's church submitted exculpatory testimony. |
