You have to understand that John is an antivaccine nut. He doesn't have a
clue about how the body works, medicine, science or vaccines.

It is definitely a good idea to have your daughter immunized.

The HPV virus causes genital warts and cancer. The vaccine prevents most
cases of warts. And if you give her the vaccine before she gets infected, it
prevents most cases of cancer (it still prevents cancer even if girls have
been infected, but not as well).

Unfortunately, you are not going to get an honest discussion of HPV vaccines
