OFF TOPIC - DOES A HUSBAND......
Does a husband have the right to sex simply because he is married to his
wife and vice versa ? What if one wants it and the other doesn't ? Should the un-willing partner be left alone while the other goes to do whatever, or does he/she give in because they love their spouse so much they want to make him/her happy ? Samantha, Due October 5th 2004 Ooooklahoma ! |

But it usually part of a healthy marriage/relationship. || || What if one wants it and the other doesn't ? || Should the un-willing partner be left alone while || the other goes to do whatever, or does he/she give || in because they love their spouse so much they want || to make him/her happy ? In a healthy relationship the partner that has been turned down should care enough about their partner to respect that the other is not in the mood. This becomes extremely important in pregnancy when the woman is going through so many changes emotionally and physically. At times it becomes very difficult to engage in any sexually activity when all one can think of is keeping their dinner down or their eyes open. I am not saying that one should not make an effort to engage in some kind of sexually activity during the nine months but both parties need a level of understanding. Being intimate is a two way street and if that is not nurtured, I believe, it is a recipe for disaster. Just my 2 cents! --? Jenn -DS Feb'92 -DD Feb'97 -35 weeks! |

"S.B.A." wrote in message link.net... Does a husband have the right to sex simply because he is married to his wife and vice versa ? No, and no. Each person's body belongs to himself or herself. Marriage does not make one's body the property of another person. This is however a good way to create ruined marriages, either through unrealistic expectations or at worst, in-marriage rape. What if one wants it and the other doesn't ? Should the un-willing partner be left alone while the other goes to do whatever, or does he/she give in because they love their spouse so much they want to make him/her happy ? If one wants it, and the other doesn't, presumably one is a big enough boy (or girl) to go take care of themselves so to speak, and leave the other in peace. However, the spouse who isn't interested may choose to concede for the sake of love - NOT obligation. Obligation creates resentment. Resentment isn't good for sex, *or* love. Hopefully, the couple will learn to balance uneven sexual drives in this way - the one with the higher drive taking care of himself/herself more often than preferred, and the one with the lesser drive 'going along' more often than preferred. --angela |
