Foster mother competent to stand trial
A King County judge finds a local foster mother competent to stand trial
on charges she abused a child, including stabbing her eyes.

SEAN ROBINSON; The News Tribune
Published: June 26th, 2007 01:00 AM

http://www.thenewstribune.com/news/l...ory/96223.html

A South Sound woman charged with two counts of assaulting and torturing
her foster daughter – including stabbing the child’s eyes with
hypodermic needles – was found competent Monday to stand trial.

King County Superior Court Judge Palmer Robinson ruled Chornice Lewis
competent after examining a psychological evaluation conducted at
Western State Hospital. Contents of the evaluation are confidential;
Robinson ordered it sealed from public view.

Lewis, 33, clad in a red jail jumpsuit, said little during the brief
hearing, apart from nodding when the judge asked whether she would
accept a continuance of the trial date, now set for Sept. 25.

The finding of competency returned her to the King County Jail. She
spent most of the last year at Western State, after she was ordered to
undergo a competency evaluation.

A story in Sunday’s News Tribune – “Tortu The state fails a young
girl” – described Lewis’ 10-year stint as a licensed foster mother and
the treatment endured by her foster daughter, now 16.

Records from the state Department of Social and Health Services show the
girl was abused for years, and never removed from Lewis’ home, despite
16 complaints of abuse and neglect reported to the state by neighbors,
teachers and police.

The girl was rescued from Lewis’ home in January 2006, following the
16th and final complaint. Subsequent medical examinations revealed a
host of injuries, including blunt-force trauma to the child’s hands and
feet, burns, fractures and blindness in one eye.

In an internal review of the Lewis case, completed in February, DSHS
leaders blamed “a system breakdown” for the failure to protect the girl.
No DSHS employees associated with the Lewis case faced discipline as a
result of the review.

How to help

Several readers who responded to Sunday’s story about the Chornice Lewis
case asked how to send aid or comfort to the unnamed young woman at the
center of the story.

The News Tribune does not have direct access to the girl or her new
foster parent – the information is not a public record, and the state
Department of Social and Health Services has not revealed it.

Monday, the newspaper gave the agency questions from readers who wanted
to know how to help.

DSHS spokeswoman Kathy Spears said readers could donate to an
organization called Tree House, which helps all children in foster care
with extras and clothing. Here is a link to the Tree House Web site:

CURRENTLY CHILD PROTECTIVE SERVICES VIOLATES MORE CIVIL RIGHTS ON A
DAILY BASIS THEN ALL OTHER AGENCIES COMBINED INCLUDING THE NATIONAL
SECURITY AGENCY/CENTRAL INTELLIGENCE AGENCY WIRETAPPING PROGRAM....

CPS Does not protect children...
It is sickening how many children are subject to abuse, neglect and even
killed at the hands of Child Protective Services.

every parent should read this .pdf from

Number of Cases per 100,000 children in the US
These numbers come from The National Center on
Child Abuse and Neglect in Washington. (NCCAN)
Recent numbers have increased significantly for CPS

*Perpetrators of Maltreatment*

Physical Abuse CPS 160, Parents 59
Sexual Abuse CPS 112, Parents 13
Neglect CPS 410, Parents 241
Medical Neglect CPS 14 Parents 12
Fatalities CPS 6.4, Parents 1.5

Imagine that, 6.4 children die at the hands of the very agencies that
are supposed to protect them and only 1.5 at the hands of parents per
100,000 children. CPS perpetrates more abuse, neglect, and sexual abuse
and kills more children then parents in the United States. If the
citizens of this country hold CPS to the same standards that they hold
parents too. No judge should ever put another child in the hands of ANY
government agency because CPS nationwide is guilty of more harm and
death than any human being combined. CPS nationwide is guilty of more
human rights violations and deaths of children then the homes from which
they were removed. When are the judges going to wake up and see that
they are sending children to their death and a life of abuse when
children are removed from safe homes based on the mere opinion of a
bunch of social workers.

What a relief for the agency!
Instead of approving and protecting a complete friggin mental case
for ten years, they approved and protected a friggin
CRIMINAL CHILD ABUSER because they see Fosters
as their allies.

Don't you think it takes a complete SICKO to poke a kids
eyes with needles?

How come the Foster application process didn't
catch somebody sick enough to poke needles
into a kids eyes?

Do they need to make that a question on the
Foster application form?

"Do you ever feel compelled to do sadistic things to children?"

"Do you ever have the urge to stick needles into a childs eyes?"

Just imagine the law suits they could avoid!

Which BUREAUCRAT thought they were helping the
agencies by dead ending the 16 reports of abuse?

What questions should Lisa have asked you, Greg, before she allowed
you to move into her home that would have kept her from losing her
daughter?

"Do you ever feel compelled to do sadistic things to children?"

"Do you ever have the urge to be in the same room with naked little
girls?"

"Do you ever feel the need to manhandle a naked little girl in the
bathroom... or any other room?"

Dan, If you were more forthcoming about some of the details
about your own 15 investigations and 5 foundeds, I'm sure
I could have at least as much fun at your family's expense.

How many innocent things have you done that I could
twist to reveal just what a pervert you are?

Remember that even Kane acknowledged that he
showered with his kids, at ages where his dangly parts
would have been right at their eye level.

It's apparent that you are highly motivated to
twist innocent and normal family sharing
of a bathroom to be something sick and sexual
because that suits your verbal assault purpose.

To anybody who ever thought about trusting you with
details of a Child Protection case, your comments
reveal just what your priorities are.

Even if you ever were a Family Rights advocate, you
place your petty personal attacks on me above the cause.

You have actually been kicked OUT of Family Rights
groups for this very sort of behavior.

Through your proxie and directly you have expressed
contempt and animosity for all Family Rights groups.

Here in this message thread about a case where
the CPS/Foster system failed MONUMENTALLY,
you launched into personal attack upon me
using half truths, lies and innuendo.

Clearly you feel a need to defend the crappy
system from the ravages of my comments.

Personal attacks on ME are more important
TO YOU than complaining about such a
monumental failure of the agencies.

You got kicked out of another Family Rights group,
claimed superiority, lied about the fact you had been
kicked out, and got caught infiltrated it using fake names.
When you were "undercover" and ran into a strong
advocate urging a Constitutional Defense you couldn't
resist giving yourself away by harping on the same old
complaints you got kicked out for in the first place.

Whichever side you are on it was stupid to counterattack
every time somebody bitches about CPS.
You just can't help yourself as your knee jerks!

Whichever side you are on it was dumb to alienate
so many people. Not tactically smart whichever side
you are on.

For a person who supposedly has superior reasoning,
tactical and persuasive skills you sure have made
a mess of things.

Way to go there, ""fixigo"" !

But I am not a pervert, Greg.

You are.

I never made it a habit to go into the bathroom where a five year old
girl was naked.

You did.

I never forced a little girl to take cold showers as punishmant.

You did.

I never grabbed a little girl while she was naked to force her into
the shower.

You did.

Remember that even Kane acknowledged that he
showered with his kids, at ages where his dangly parts
would have been right at their eye level.

I don't recall his mentioning where any of his parts were dangling.

Is that implication simply a supposition of yours?

It's apparent that you are highly motivated to
twist innocent and normal family sharing
of a bathroom to be something sick and sexual
because that suits your verbal assault purpose.

The little girl was not in your family.

It was not innocent on your part.

It was sick and sexual.

The fact that you can't admit what it really was is YOUR problem.

NOT mine.

To anybody who ever thought about trusting you with
details of a Child Protection case, your comments
reveal just what your priorities are.

Am I not supposed to tell people what I really believe is the problem
in their CPS case?

Which is what I've done in your former girlfriend's case.

Am I supposed to treat every real abuse and neglect case as if the
evidence doesn't exist?

Even if you ever were a Family Rights advocate, you
place your petty personal attacks on me above the cause.

Not true at all.

You have actually been kicked OUT of Family Rights
groups for this very sort of behavior.

Which groups?

Through your proxie and directly you have expressed
contempt and animosity for all Family Rights groups.

My proxie?

Who's that?

Exactly what did I say that expressed my "contempt and animosity for
all Family Rights groups?"

Here in this message thread about a case where
the CPS/Foster system failed MONUMENTALLY,
you launched into personal attack upon me
using half truths, lies and innuendo.

You asked about questions that would help to exclude bad foster
parents.

I merely asked if your former girlfriend should have asked you similar
questions to possibly avert losing custody of her daughter.

Not to mention the mental anguish the little girl suffered while you
lived in her home for two years.

Clearly you feel a need to defend the crappy
system from the ravages of my comments.

I support asking very specific questions to exclude bad people from
harming children and their families.

Personal attacks on ME are more important
TO YOU than complaining about such a
monumental failure of the agencies.

You think my writing a complaint on the NG about what the foster
person did is necessary?

No one could defend any of what happened.

You got kicked out of another Family Rights group,
claimed superiority, lied about the fact you had been
kicked out, and got caught infiltrated it using fake names.

Is greegor your real name?

When you were "undercover" and ran into a strong
advocate urging a Constitutional Defense you couldn't
resist giving yourself away by harping on the same old
complaints you got kicked out for in the first place.

From what I understand his 2005 proposed law STILL hasn't been

submitted to the Pennsylvania legislature.

Is that what you consider "strong?"
