Default double uterus

Hi,

just wanted to tell all those women who have just learned they have
double uterus and probably double cervix and vagina and are pregnant,
that it is possible to have a healthy baby despite this malformation.

I learned I had it when I was 27 and half a year later, after I got
married, I got pregnant. The baby was in the right uterus. At the
beginnig I was told not to expect the baby to survive the first
trimester. It was a very depressing part of my pregnancy. I was
advised by my doctor to go on a long leave (in my case that meant no
salary and my husband earned peanuts at that time) so I obeyed and
stayed at home for the whole pregnancy. I wasn't in bed but I did
everything rather slowly and tried to decrease the stress level in my
life to the minimum.

Thank God, there were absolutely no complications during the whole
pregnancy. I had a c-section at 39 week (natural birth is perceived as
too risky in the case of this malformation, at least in my country,
and I don't question that) and now I have a beautiful 10 months old
daughter, Zosia.

Have faith,

Kasia

Default double uterus

Congratulations on the birth of your daughter, and thank you for
sharing your story! I'm sure it will help others who may worry about
coping with uterine anomalies and pregnancy. There's also a yahoogroup
for women with uterine anomalies which is a helpful resource to women
who may wonder about their condition.
