(NC.) Northampton County Schools Add Corporal Punishment As Discipline Option
The article says that the school ran out of other discipline options.
Suspension keeps the child from attending school. It, in effect, rewards and encourages bad behavior. Act up and you get to stay home. As in most other districts, only administrators may administer the paddlings, and a witness must be present. Will be used on 1st, 2nd and 3rd grade youngsters. Will DSS be called in? Who knows? http://www.CPSwatch.com Site in NC there. Free found: Subject: (NC.)
