Things I Do I Hope My Kids Will Remember...

First, I hope this article doesn't get slammed but instead is replied
to with other's useful contributions. I'd really like to read it
without sifting through the BS.

I want my kids to remember things I did with them when they get older
and want to continue with their kids.

As an example:

In the morning I drive my kids to school before work. There is usually
a long line of cars trying to get through the 4-way stop just prior to
the school. One day early in the school year I decided to stop and park
the car about 1/8 mile away where the line started and walk the rest of
the way in with my kids. It was such a treat for them and me that we
now do our best to make time in the morning to do this. We talk about
all sorts of things, skip, laugh and always greet the smiling crossing
gaurds.

It's not much but I think they will never forget it and I hope not
forget the pleasure they received from doing it.

By the way, I made arrangements with my boss to come in a little later
to do this. It was very well received.
