Default Going back to work and daycare worries

Hi

I will soon be returning to work and I am very worried about how my DD
will survive at the daycare centre. She has a number of food
intolerance, a very poor solid eater and doesn't drink her milk except
in her sleep. She will drink water out of her sippy but if i give her
milk she wont drink it. I usually put her to sleep then give her the
milk and she will drink. I doubt anyone in a daycare would do that
for my DD. She also wont eat much solids, specially in the mornings.
She will have a jar or two but only in the afternoon (don't know
why). I am afraid she is going to be starving in the morning that she
will become cranky and not eat the solids in the afternoon either. I
have tried over and over to get her to eat solids in the morning but
no luck and her food intolerance just makes things worse as I cannot
just feed her anything. Can anyone help me out?

How old is she? Are you nursing her?

You may find that she responds to other caregivers
differently and she will eat from them. Or, if you
are still nursing her, she may reverse cycle and
do most of her nutrition intake when she is with
you.

My DD is 11months old. We bottle feed her expressed breastmilk. She
wont take the bottle while she is up or in the sippy so we give it
when she falls asleep. I hope that at the daycare she will just use
the sippy, right now she will only drink water out of it.

I went back to work when YoungBloke was 10mo. At that point he'd always
refused bottles and wasn't terribly convinced of the value of cups either.
The first day at nursery I gave them 200mls of expressed breastmilk in a
lidded bottle and asked them to try him with a cup (no point starting a
nippled bottle at 10mo) but said I'd be in at lunchtime to nurse him so if
he didn't take the cup not to worry.

When I arrived at lunchtime he was fine. He'd had all his milk from a cup at
breakfast and had water with his lunch. He'd seen the other children
drinking from cups and done what they did!
