This is the first time we've tried--and I think I've failed. I think I
could be pregnant; but it feels like PMS. Any suggestions or advice?

If it feels like PMS there is a good chance it is. Wait until your period
is a day or two late before testing if you can.

It can easily take up to 6 months for normal healthy people to conceive so
try not to get anxious if you don't get pregnant within 2-3 months.

Why do you use the word "we" when it came to conceiving and "I" when It
came to failure?
It depends on both of you and there is no failure in trying and not
having fast results.
I am sure If It doesn't work this time, You'll have many other chances.
In my case, when I stopped birthcontrol pills the first time, It took
about 3 months before getting pregnant.
So just be patient. And I am sure everything will be just fine.
