The book, is now available on the Chapter's website: www.asaphilly.org In the book, big sister Phoebe shares a glimpse into her world and that of her little brother Ethan who has autism. Her simple explanations provide insight into autism and the special challenges that it brings. Through Phoebe's innocent eyes, she reveals her acceptance of and love for her brother. Not only children, but parents, family members and teachers will gain a better understanding of autism from this book. ABOUT THE AUTHOR Deborah Ann Moore is a board member of the Autism Society of America, Greater Philadelphia Chapter. She has two teenage nephews who have autism. Deborah earned a B.A. in English and Communications from Ursinus College in Collegeville, Pennsylvania. She, her husband and two preschool daughters reside in suburban Philadelphia. ABOUT THE ILLUSTRATOR Marlene D'Orazio Adler is a native Philadelphian residing in Glenside, Pennsylvania with her husband and two children. She is a graduate of the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts and has a master's degree from the University of the Arts- both located in Philadelphia. She presently teaches high school art and is active as a professional artist working primarily in papermaking and printmaking.
