I don't know of any apart from the obvious if too much is given. You deserve
a break teapot, don't beat yourself up over it, give him some if you think
he needs it.

You can buy paracetamol specifically for babies - i.e. Calpol - but as long
as that's the stuff you are using, it's fine. I always give it to DD when
she is having trouble sleeping because of teeth or fever (not very often,
once every 2 months or so) and it really helps her to settle down and get a
good night sleep (and me!).

I just have to post on one of my pet peeves here. (feel free to tune
out, it's not directed at you Rosie!) Calpol lists its dosages in
"spoonfuls". Kitchen spoons are hopelessly inaccurate as measuring
devices, and can lead to overdosing to the tune of 50-100%, which for
paracetamol puts the dose square into the range of potentially permanent
liver damage.

Use a syringe to measure in mls, not a spoon.

We now return you to your regularly scheduled programming....

Well Tylenol (which is the same thing) is given to babies when they have
their immunizations, fevers, teething, pain, etc. Overdose would be the main
concern. As long as you go by weight, there should be no problems. Many
babies get tylenol all the time

Sod that, buy it in one-dose 10ml sachets. It even comes with a
measuring spoon for those 5ml half doses.

seriously???
That labelling would never pass regulations here, I don't think.
I second the use of accurate measuring equipment

Why not? Does he not feel Moo's in pain, or not agree wtih using
paracetamol? Any merit to his objection?
