Ok more seriously... Learn to cheat... I do... I make 2 huge dinners over
the weekend... Like monster roasts or make double batches of things like
spaghetti sauce or whatever I want to make and I put it in the freezer for
the week...

I also search online during the week for different recipes that I like to
make that weekend... Print them off, buy the ingredients and cook on my days
off... If the recipe flops then we put it in the "icky" pile and burn it in
the fireplace LOL...

My trick was to always have either lots of fresh fruit and veggies in the
fridge so that if you are late coming home from work or soccer or whatever
you can grab an apple while tossing some of the freezer goodies in the oven
or microwave...

http://www.recipeland.com/ is a pretty decent site to visit and explore most
of the recipes are pretty tasty

Nope no kidding... Sauces do really well in the freezer... Seems to take as
long to make the pasta as it does to defrost and heat the sauce LOL

There's not... It's good to the last drop... I've even seen a few licking
out the pot Which is why I make a double batch and then hide it under
the vegetables in the freezer *grin* they NEVER look there... Plus Real
sauce takes HOURS to make... I start that pot 8am on a saturday morning so
by 7pm we are sitting down to a decent meal... There's always fresh
appetizers -- Could use some of your spice rack for that

Cooking is like sex.....sure your can get it finished in a couple of

True, but the thing about leftovers, is you can heat it up and eat it again.

You are oh so right... But you know -- a Quickie in the middle of the week
or at the end of the day can be a good thing too as long as the quality
is there then the experience is always good

Experiment, you will soon learn.
Traditional roast is easy and impressive, it is just a question of
timing. A bit like the other topic under discussion in this thread!
Get you timing right and you should have time for unhuried lovemaking
between putting the meat in and taking it out when it's well and truely
done. A word of warning though, occasionally a sound eminates when the
meat is withdrawn from the oven and sticky fat sometimes trickles out
from around the oven opening!

Bon Apertite!

Dennis
