Books as gifts for Babies
Have you been invited to a baby shower? Know someone who is expecting
and you'll need a perfect baby gift? Are you pregnant and contemplating your child's first books? This blog provides great, independent, insights into great books for babies: http://maevevisserknoth.blogspot.com...by-shower.html |

It's written by a librarian, and the books recommended are all ones I found truly excellent as well. |

Books as gifts for Babies
Thanks for the recommendation. We're experimenting with the blog to see
if it can be useful and to see if we can make any money at it (none so far). My wife is writing the blog and I'm trying to give it some visibility. The topics are based partly on her experience as a childrens librarian (she runs a "Babies and Books" program at our library that brings in about 150 people a week, and she occassionally offers a pre-natal "story hour" to educate new parents about reading to children. She also selects childrens books for the county library system.) Other topics are based on volunteer work she does at our children's K-8 school, which is where much of her attention is going at the moment, so there's a pretty strong teacher focus on the blog. For a bit more shameless promotion, here's a list of books relating to friendships for young children: http://maevevisserknoth.blogspot.com...dergarten.html Here's an article on Bibliotherapy she wrote for the Horn Book Magazine: http://www.hbook.com/publications/ma...ay06_knoth.asp If you have questions about books and babies, or reading aloud, let me know. - Bruce Lady Penelope Creighton-Ward wrote: bk wrote: Have you been invited to a baby shower?
