Update on Carol Ann

So after the silence and all the suspense I decided to call Carol Ann at the
hospital. Good news! She has a beautiful daughter!

7 pounds 7.6 oz
19 inches
Born 3/24 6:13am

She will be discharged from the Medical Center tomorrow but until then, can
be reached at 706-571-1000.

Brief facts:

She went to her OB appt on the 23rd and had slightly elevated BPs and they
found lower levels of amniotic fluid than they wanted. So they sent Carol
Ann straight for an induction. The induction started at 2:30pm on the 23rd.
She did great, dialating to 8.5 cm by the next morning. But by 4 or 5am she
started running a fever and the baby's heartrate was elevated so they
performed an emergency cesarean. A really scary time but she is handling it
great! Daughter is beautiful, breasfeeding is going well, and her mom, dad
and Kevin have been with her.

It was good to talk with her and I'm honored to be able to share the good
news with everyone.

great news! she was right about the 24th!

I always get worried when I don't hear from people for a few days that
they've had a c-section, sending good recovery vibes to you Carol Ann.

Oh I think she just wanted to make sure she was right with 24th ;-P
Congratulations to her!! I don't think I'll try phoning as I don't know the

I hope she has a speedy and pain-free recovery, and that she gets to
