Ok, so I'm an admitted Dr. Phil addict, although all this weight loss stuff
bores me to death.

He's been following this family since this season started, the root issue is
that their 15 year old daughter was pregnant. At first they weren't sure if
she'd keep the baby or put him up for adoption. She kept him, and I just
heard her say that she's breastfeeding him. Is it too condescending to say
I'm proud of this girl? :-)

I was so happy to see that she was nursing, too. I was slightly
disappointed that she used it as an excuse to not let the baby see his
father's family ("you won't be able to feed him"). But in any case,
this is good.

Ifelt the same way. At the beginning of the episode I heard something about
the father wouldn't be able to get up and give the baby bottles 3 x a night,
and I was all mad....bottle feeding!! but later in the show it was revealed
that she was in fact breastfeeding....that is so awesome....at 15 I was just
getting used to my body, and thinking of a baby sucking on my nipples would
have grossed me out.....but I am now older and wiser!!

I'm shocked she's breastfeeding! I haven't been able to keep up with the
show since returning to work 5 weeks ago(ugh). I'm so glad to hear she is
breastfeeding! How is the rest of the family with the baby--I mean since
she decided to keep him?

Robin (I am sick of the weight loss stuff too--I was even before returning
to work! )
