We dated about 1 year before we just kinda drifted apart. We still
keep in some sort of contact kinda. She lived in Albany ( about 3
hours driving time ). We e-mailed for weeks before we met. I had a
conference in Albany one weekend, and we met in the hotel lobby where
I was staying, the rest was history.

Albany where? NY? We could be neighbors, Alex -- I'm 2 hours from
Albany.

Yep, Albany NY

2 hours - huh -- which direction?

I'm an hour south of Syracuse

Duh, I didn't even look at your e-mail addy. That's my ISP. We're
half-an-hour from Syracuse. I just sent you an e-mail, neighbor. :-)

I think we're getting through the usual stoppers via email. Politics
might not be one of them.

I think you need to meet. Don't drag it out too long through email. Keep it
safe and easy to get out of, but I'd get the meeting over with ASAP. Don't
get drawn into a "You've Got Mail" thing.

Actually I just thought of something...if you REALLY want to get to know

this
guy right away, go to something contraversial like Farienhiet 911 and then

you
can both talk it over coffee -- that might be interesting!

Contraversial?

What's contraversial about the truth?

There were a couple of others, however LDR's ( Long Distance Romances
) & I never really worked out too well

Me neither and most Email stuff is long distance anyway.

For the men out there, go to salsa lessons. 73 women and 7 men at my
introductory course and about even at the salsa club I now go too.

Meanwhile... I did the unthinkable.

Really? about time too!

Unthinkable for me that is.

What? You wrote and congratulated Micheal Moore on his new film?

I answered a personal ad and we've been emailing back and forth. I think
this has potential, BTW.

Absolutely not possible to know at this stage. Your imagination is working
overtime.

I'm sure the feeling is mutual. He's very
nice.. intelligent, sensible, responsible, and has a great sense of
humor.

You mean he's gay?

He lives about 5 hours north of here but can hop an airplane
anytime and is willing to meet at the airport for coffee... if that's
something I am ready for.

Well I'm always ready for a chat over a coffee, does that make me a tart?

How do you bring these things into real
life? Any internet love stories out there? How'd ya do it?

Get out and meet as many people as possible, about a hundred should do it.
About half you will like, about 10 you will really like. With 7 or 8 of
those the timing will be wrong.Choose from the remaining two or three.

Also I hate watching sex scenes (and they all have them!) with some
guy I don't know that well. It's very uncomfortable.

Then don't sit on his lap.
Besides, his erection is probably more uncomfortable than you feel.
