The day-to-day details of milk donation? by
DeliciousTruffles
I have contacted the Vancouver Milk Bank and they are interested in me
becoming a milk donor. I will become one if I pass the health
requirement (I don't see why not) and figure out the physical logistics
of getting my milk to them (I'm 3 hours from Vancouver).
I guess I would like to know more...

Quick introduction of myself :) by
Jill
I am just trying to find time to lurk and join in here. Some here from MKP
may recognize me. :)
My name is Jill, and I am 34 weeks pregnant with my first (a girl). I have
decided to breastfeed, and haven't yet been able to take a bf class but am
going to very soon-- I am due in May! (I'm in North...

So confused! Oversupply, or what? by
pologirl
DS is a few days old and my milk has come in. Both breasts are soon
engorged after each feeding and leak more often than not (usual triggers:
baby feeding at other breast, baby crying, looking at baby, etc.). DS
was 1 oz over his birth weight at day 4, so he is feeding well. And he
is voracious....

How badly... by
Lina
can nursing screw up your cycles?
I have no other signs of pregnancy, but two weeks ago, and then again last
night, I had some spotting. I haven't had a period since January...
Any idea if this is just from nursing? I have a physical (yuck) on the
fifteenth... I'll ask my doc then.

Problems with Pumping by
KymmiTut
My pediatrician requested that I introduce a bottle to my DD when she was 3
weeks old (she's now nearly 6 weeks old).* We had no problems with nipple
confusion, and she continues to nurse like a little champ (although the first
week was tough) while my DH gives her a bottle every night.*
I...

Outta here for two weeks: by
Chotii
Tomorrow, bright and early (well, not so bright - the sun won't even be up
yet) I'm heading for Virginia, to an intensive feeding program for my
daughter Victoria. Some of you know the struggles we've gone through with
her, and the triumphs she's had. Well, she's ready to EAT finally, and maybe
get...

Update Milk supply question by
Naomi Rivkis
Thanks for the advice about the decreasing milk supply. It turned out
to be a temporary reaction to severe dehydration, and has come back
just fine once I started making sure I got enough water at all times.

After weaning - when can underwire bras be worn?! by
Cathy
I'm afraid I love my underwires - got to give some shape to my droopy
breasts! But it has been so long since I wore one, and my nursing bras are
too big now (I just hope my pre-breastfeeding bras are not too big - they
were pretty tiny to begin to with!). I am paranoid about wearing an
underwire...

Question: regaining lost milk supply? by
Naomi Rivkis
My milk is going, if not already gone! I've been
drinking Mother's Milk tea and nursing or pumping as
much of the time as possible lately to try and
stimulate more of it, but it's been slowly dwindling
anyway and I don't know if it can be saved. I suspect
dehydration and semistarvation as the...

Just for info - my own little ovulation predictor! by
Cathy
As you may be aware, DD (nearly 15 months) weaned abruptly 2 weeks ago. And
guess what came today - AF. So I think the weaning may have been a
combination of illness, and yucky milk. I was secretly hoping I was
pregnant, as I had tender breasts (which I put down to slight engorgement)
and...

how do you know if you are still producing milk? by
Marie
My daughter is almost 18 months old, and nurses pretty frequently
throughout the day but sleeps all night. I no longer wake up full, and
in fact the other day went from 4pm one day to 8am the next day with
no nursing, and I didn't feel full in the morning(that wasn't
intentional, I was on the phone...

Want some (free) Ameda replacement white valves? by
Vicki S
Hi everyone,
I used a pump fairly often with my oldest as I was working part time
and did a lot of evening meetings and stuff. But when my second was
small I quit my job and a few months later I dusted off my pump and
donated it to Goodwill. I don't need to pump anymore and I don't miss
it! But...
