Hush little baby... by
Amy
I'm trying to type up a list of lullabies so that I don't have to sit
in the rocking chair and wrack my brain to come up with a song to sing
next. They don't have to be traditional lullabies, just so long as
they're soft and slow and easy to sing...
What songs do you sing to your kids? I like...

2 year update by
Dagny
Dear m.k.b'ers,
Well it's been 25 months since I started nursing. Meg is 25 months and
Poppin Fresh is about to turn 10 months old.
I'm down to nursing Meg 2 times a day most days. I don't mind the idea of
her weaning at this point but don't know if I will wean her in 2 weeks or 2
years...

Raising the next generation of bf-ers! by
Patagonia
Just had to report - my ds, now 3yo, decided last night while dh and I were
feeding and changing dd (3mo), that he wanted in on the action. I had a
baby doll that ds used a little bit while I was pg to get used to the idea
of a baby in the house. Well, he went and got it, and changed the diaper...

Two bottom teeth. And a desire to test Mommy's responses.
She drew blood.
Mommy managed NOT to fling baby across the room. Mommy did not manage
keep from screaming bloody murder. Daddy tried to be solicitous but
Does Not Get It.
Ow.

Is this Reflux? by
Andrea S
Erin is now 3 weeks old.. we thought she may have colic at first, but she
doesn't cry non-stop. She feeds, then shortly after latching on and sucking
she is full of wind, I burp her and she vomits enough that I need to use
cloths to clean/catch it. Then she cries and wants the breast again...

First Birthday! by
Leslie
Lorelei's first birthday was Thursday. We did not do anything special
on the day, but last night we had a dinner party (that's our first
birthday tradition--we have certain parties that we do for each year
for every child).
There were about thirty people and we had baked ziti and bread and
salad,...

NB not eating enough by
Shell
Hey everyone,
Heather is here and I realized quickly how much I had forgotten about
breastfeeding! She's 9 days old now and the pain and blisters are just now
finally going away. OMG I don't remember it hurting that bad with my son.
I checked her latch over and over and everything seemed right...

Worried about DD by
CY
My DD is 3.5 years old and still nursing twice a day. Her brother is 5
months and nursing a lot more, so obviously my milk is copious right now.
Recently, as she went to the bathroom to pee, she screamed in pain. I took
her to the ped that day and they found blood, protein and extra white...

First solids! by
Child
The Monk had his very first solids (at 5 months, 2 weeks and day) over the
weekend - fresh steamed butternut squash mashed to a pulp. He made a
terrible face on the first bite but easily moved the food to the back of the
mouth, swallowed and opened for more. He does his "eaty eaty" sign...

After posting sympathies for your Wills sleeping patterns, for the last

I've read all the...

what my mum overheard by
Anne Rogers
thankfully this is 25 years ago, but when in hospital after having my sister
she overheard a nurse telling a mother off, saying the reason she was so
tired is because she was feeding her baby too frequently, now which do you
think would make you more tired, breastfeeding, or sitting next to...

FAO Cuddlefish by

just wondering how you know the infection you have is staph and is it the
same as mastitis, but you just happen to know what bacteria caused it
I'm curious as I had a breast infection that wasn't mastitis as it was in
the tissue rather than the ducts and I've never heard of anyone else
suffering...
