how much pain is normal? by oregonchick
I am trying to keep a "stiff upper lip" and tough it through these last few weeks, but I'm finding it harder to do that. I have unbelievable cramping at times, and find it virtually impossible to get comfortable in bed. I'm not sleeping more than a few hrs a night, and can barely get out of bed...

What is the 1 hour glucose test score cutoff? by Kathy
Hi, I have another post in about this subject, but I've been searching forever and can't find this answer... I failed the 1 hour glucose test yesterday by one point. My score was 121 and I was told that they (my OB group) required it to be 120 or less. I keep reading other people's results...

Vit D? by Emily
Hi folks, At DS2's 6 week check up, the sheet of paper they gave us recommended Vitamin D, but the nurse practitioner didn't say anything about it. I'll probably call them to see what they have to say, but thought I'd check here to see if northern hemisphere folks are giving their infants vitamin...

Cramps at 6 wks, I know it can be normal, right? by CJRA
I am 6 wks and a couple of days. I saw the heartbeat yesterday, all looked well. Today I have cramps - low, almost in the groin region but not unlike period cramps. Not horrible, but more like a sharp stabbing pain but not strong, if that makes sense. I really don't want to panic and call my OB...

Pregnant? ^_^;;;; by Kaia
Hi! I'm new to this site, but I'm happy to meet all of you! To get to the point, I am 19 years old and engaged to a great guy. Now I'm wondering if I am pregnant, since we had unprotected sex last month. At first, my boyfriend and my best friend were telling me that I'm pregnant, because I started...

early labor signs by oregonchick
It's been 8 yrs since I've done this! And while I know the obvious signs of pending labor (water breaking, etc), are there any other more elusive possible signs of labor starting? I'm only 35 wks, but have been having preterm labor since 30 wks. Last night I even had ctx every 5-7 min for about...

almost 5 months pp by Anne Rogers
Time flies! I'm loving being a mum of 2, very little sign of any postnatal depression, there were a couple of blips in August and we put my medication up a little, we reviewed it with the psychiatrist and the plan is to stay on that amount until Ada's first birthday and then if all seems fine to...

Now I feel guilty.... by CJRA
In the past pg I only had a midwife, but when I was m/c'ing I needed an OB once it became a medical issue. So I found my current doc whom I love. She's excellent, very open. At my appt post-m/c she told me that as she was no longer doing deliveries anyway, she'd see me thru the first trimester...

failed 1 hour glucose test by 1 point by Kathy
I usually just lurk here, but today I have an issue I'm hoping to get some input on...hope it's okay to just pop in! Yesterday I took the one hour glucose test and failed it by one point. I drank the glucose drink (did not fast or alter my usual diet in any way as I was told not to) and exactly...

32 w appointment by PK
I apologize in advance if posting appointment updates is not the norm. I had my 32w appointment yesterday. Was a mixed bag really. I've gained 1 lb in 2 weeks. I was measuring 2 weeks behind (measuring 30 cm) and I had trace sugar in my urine. All these things are not worth worrying about...
