being a father by [email protected]
I think of my son every day at work. I can see him laughing. I can see his big grin, his hands bobbing around and his legs scooting up and down when we help him stand up. I can see him in my wife's arms coyly looking at me and smiling when I come home. I put him on my shoulders and my wife makes...

FAO Circe / Living wage at Kohl's? by Cheryl S.
I've never shopped at Wal-Mart anyway because there isn't one convenient to me, but in light of the recent discussion I'm wondering if Kohl's is OK to shop at? Anyone know how fairly they compensate their employees? Thanks. -- Cheryl S. Mom to Julie, 2 yr., 7 mo. And Jaden, 2 months Cleaning the...

5 year old with bad dreams nightly by Leigh Ann
My 5 year old has recently gotten up every night claiming he had a bad dream. I am not sure if he is making it up or if he is really scared. I comfort him and send him back to bed as not to encourage the behavior. Any suggestions for helping him sleep through the night?

First Christmas Presents by Marie
The kidlets will be 8 months old (6mo corrected) at Christmas. We're trying to play it low key--after all, it's not like they're going to understand anything about what's going on :-) But I've already had a couple of family members askwhat "the boys would like" for Christmas. They're only...

How much privacy do you give them? by Wendy
My daughter is nearly 13 and has her own laptop with DSL access to the internet and her own email account and website on NeoPets. Today I tried to use her computer to do something with the iPod that I share with her and I wasn't able to log in. She has a password at login. She also has passwords...

problem behaviour of 14 month old by jojo
Our son has a funny habit that I would love to help him lose. Background: he sleeps in a pack'n'play in our room (we have transitioned him there from co-sleeping) He still wakes once a night and want a sippy cup. That's not a problem. The problem is he is fine (kinda I want my cup whiny) until I...

What to do about crying by mypet
Forgive me if the answer to this question is elementary, but I have been out of the child-rearing routine for quite some time. My son has recently been seeing a lady that has a four year old little girl. The little girl is just darling and can be such a delight. However, anytime a situation such...

Desperate Measures by GI Trekker
Maybe these people should EAT MORE SENSIBLY! Unless they're actually being force-fed, undergoing surgery of this high a risk level is ridiculous.

Where are they?? by Allie
Well as I started the poll about refusing the crib, I had a suspicion this was the road DS was traveling down. Last night he pitched a fit at bed time and when DH left him to his hysterics he climbed out and landed with a heart stopping THUMP on the thankfully carpeted floor. I gave him the choice...

Leukemia symptoms by Denise
I'm in the process of Googling, but that just won't appease my mind quickly enough :) But what are some symptoms of Leukemia other than anemia? Is Leukemia usually a sudden onset sort of illness? Do the symptoms come and go? A trip to the ER with DD2 has a doctor concerned enough to...
