Birth control after pregnancy
I have a question that I can't seem to find the answer to anywhere! I
have read that if you are not breastfeeding you can start taking the pill 3 weeks postpartum. But no where can I find anything about what to do if you are still bleeding (lochia). Can you start the pill while you are still bleeding? And if you do will the pill stop the bleeding like it does for your period? And if it does stop the bleeding can that be bad for your body? (infection...etc?). Can anyone help? LeAnn |

I think this is a question that your doctor could answer very easily. I'm
sure other's on the ng will have answers for you too. -- Jamie & Taylor Earth Angel, 1/3/03 Check out Taylor Marlys -- www.MyFamily.com, User ID: Clarkguest, Password: Guest Become a member for free - go to Add Member to set up your own User ID and Password Handmade Baby Blankets -- www.geocities.com/digit_the_cat/Blankets.html "LeAnn" wrote in message om... LeAnn All 3 times I went on the pill at 4 weeks post-partum. I took the pill when I was still bleeding and I think the pill made it stop. I never had any problems. |

Thank you for your input. For some reason I couldn't find anyone who
had experienced this, or even anyone who had started taking the pill while still bleeding. I'm sure it's more common than it appears though. LeAnn "Sophie" wrote in message ...
