BROCKTON

TEACHER RESIGNS -- A special education teacher at the Edgar B. Davis
Elementary School quit last week after the state Department of
Social Services investigated an allegation that she bruised the arm
of an 11-year-old student, according to Brockton Public Schools
spokeswoman Jocelyn Meek. The teacher, Linda Backner, submitted her
resignation last Friday, Meek said. Joseph A. O'Sullivan, head of
the Brockton teachers union, criticized the way DSS handled the
allegation against Backner, and wants the state agency to revamp its
policies on how such complaints are processed. "We lost a good solid
teacher here," said Sullivan, president of the Brockton Education
Association. "It's a shame." -- Emily Sweeney

You seem to posting an argument that Social Services should not
investigate allegations of child abuse. Do I have that correct?

I notice also that no one forced the teacher's resignation...unless of
course the board and her boss know damn well she's a danger to kids
and decided now's the time to dump her.

And you do know that head's of unions, to justify their salary, are
supposed to make such public statements defending teachers. Did he say
HOW he thought state policies should be revamped? Naw, just another
whiner/complainer, like these ngs are infested with.

What do yah think......and please, keep your paw out of your Depends
while you are dreaming up yet another witless answer.

Call your keeper. You are really starting to stink. And ask the
dietician to hold back on the prunes. That might help a little.

Kane.
