Default Burning pain, feels like tearing

Last night I woke up in the middle of the night. It was a pain that woke me
up. It was sharp, burning, kinda like something tearing on the inside
(abdomen.) I laid in bed for a couple minutes, then got up to check for
blood, nothing. I got back in bed, and a few minutes later, it happened
again but it wasn't as intense. I fell asleep after that.

This morning, I've felt it a few times again. It doesn't feel like ligament
pain. It's also closer to the top of my abdomen, but kinda in the middle.
It's very uncomfortable, and I've never felt this before.

I checked the baby's heartbeat and it was 164, so the baby is fine. If Dh
gets to come home early, I think I'm going to go to the hospital, it's
really worrying me that much. I've never had a tearing sensation before. It
feels like peeling off a scab on your leg that has been there for days and
is firmly attached. It really hurts!

Anyway, the de ja vous is that something so similar happened a year and a
half or so ago. I woke up in the middle of the night, straight up, and had
an uneasy feeling. I went back to sleep and couldn't shake the feeling in
the morning. I'm having the same uneasy feeling now and it's really getting
to me!

Then by all means do go and have it checked out! I've had al sorts of
weird sensations in each pregnancy, never figured out which were the bad
signs and which the good ones. I do get occasional sharp pains when I turn
suddenly, but those are the 'normal' ligament pains, that I'm sure you are
familiar with. Even so, they are very different this time than with DS.

I hope it turns out to be nothing at all. Keep us posted!

I saw the nurse practitioner at my OB's office today. I feel so silly about
this now! She said it was just ligament pain. She felt around my uterus
and it really hurt. She said that the pain gets worse with each pregnancy.
So at least I have some peace of mind now, I was worried about either the
c/s incision seperating or the placenta tearing, but I'm so paranoid anyway.

Don't feel silly, I'm sure you weren't the first to come in for this.
Besides, it's better to know for sure than to get yourself all worked up.
I'm glad it turned out to be nothing at all!

Don't feel silly or paranoid!! I've been told by everyone - doctors,
nurses, and doulas, as well as every pregnancy book I've read - never
hesitate to call your care provider and get checked if anything seems
wrong. After all, that's what they're there for!

I'm just so happy to hear that it *was* just ligament pain, and that
everything's okay with you!

Could it just be ligament pain? I don't like the fact that it felt like
something tearing on the inside I would consult your health care provider.
