Default First appointment?

om...
Hi all. I just recently found out that I'm pregnant (like, last week)
and I have my first appointment scheduled for 2 weeks from today. Man,
that seems like forever from now. Anyway, I think I'll be about 6
weeks pregnant (going by my last period) then. What are they likely to
want from me? I already know that I'm supposed to go in sometime
before that appt to have some blood drawn, but what's likely to happen
at the appointment? Is it too early for a heartbeat?

Jen

I cannot answer your question, but I will say this... if you think next week
seems like forever, wait until you get the due date and start the
"countdown" lol (I had a cute duck clock that counted backwards the days
until the due date)

I know, I know.. I should just keep my mouth shut about what will be felt!
lol. But I think I know a little about the wait. Remember, it took us almost
10 years for our first ;-)

I understand. DH was WAY more nervous than I when I got closer to my due
date. It helps if you can feel what's going on 'down there'. Just sitting
and waiting must be nerve wracking... But you seem to have come through
just fine

10 years. Hm, that still pretty fast for two guys :-D

spit root beer on monitor!

LOL!

Well, I joke around with friends that one night we forgot to take our pills
and BAM! We were pregnant!

Now if only it were that easy, we would already have a second on the way ;-)

Caterpillar was born between the two anniversaries we count,
and they were both 10-year anniversaries. It just takes so
much longer when "we just won't use birth control and see
what happens" has no chance of working.

My mom: When are you two going to give me grandkids?
Me: We keep trying and trying, but I think we aren't doing
it right.

I am pregnant with No.2 and just told my husband that we would have number
three as soon as man-pregnancy becomes possible. Now you've got me worried
:-)

Better get him on the pill!
