Hi everybody,
Due to a lump in my right breast, my doc asked me to take Augmentin. After taking one pill, I found out that I was already 6 weeks pregnant. My doc said that I should stop taking Augmentin though it is perfectly safe for pregnant woman. I am VERY worry about my baby. Can anybody help? Is Augmentin really safe? Will that pill cause my baby any birth defect? This is my second baby. Help! |

It's pregnancy category C, meaning that studies in animals haven't revealed any problems, but there just haven't been any well-controlled studies in humans. The odds that this will cause any sort of problem are incredibly small. Best wishes, Ericka |
